Who we are
Material Measures publishes free concrete calculators at materialmeasures.com. You can reach us at contact@materialmeasures.com.
Your calculator inputs stay in your browser
Every calculation runs locally in the page. Your measurements, prices and bag yields are not transmitted to us, not stored on a server and not visible to us in any form. There is no backend collecting them, because there is no backend.
What is stored on your device
Your region, measurement system and currency symbol are saved in your browser's local storage so the site opens the way you left it. That is a small preference record on your own device, readable only by this site, and it is not a cookie and not sent anywhere. You can clear it at any time through your browser's site-data settings.
If you use a shareable results link, your inputs are encoded in the URL itself. That means anyone you send the link to can see those numbers — which is the point of the feature — so take the same care you would with any link containing information you would rather keep private.
Server logs
Like almost every website, the hosting infrastructure that serves these pages may record standard technical request information such as IP address, timestamp, requested page and browser user-agent. That is a function of the hosting provider, used for delivering the site and protecting it from abuse. We do not build profiles from it and we do not combine it with anything else.
Analytics
None. No analytics product of any kind is loaded, so no page-view, session or behavioural data is collected by us.
Advertising
No advertising is served and no advertising scripts are loaded. The layout contains reserved positions for advertising that render nothing at all while advertising is disabled. If advertising is introduced in future, this policy and the cookie policy will be updated first to name the networks involved and describe the data they process, and a consent mechanism will be in place where it is legally required.

If you email us, we receive your address and your message. We use them to reply and for nothing else. We do not add you to any list and do not share your message with third parties.
Your rights
Data protection law in the UK, the EU and Ireland, and comparable law in the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, gives you rights over personal data held about you — typically access, correction, deletion and objection. Since we hold no personal data beyond any email you choose to send us, the practical position is that there is almost nothing to request. If you have emailed us and want that correspondence deleted, ask and we will delete it.
Children
This is a general-purpose construction tool. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone.
Changes to this policy
If the site's behaviour changes — advertising, analytics or anything else that processes data — this page will be updated to describe the new position before the change goes live, rather than afterwards.
