The service

Material Measures provides free concrete quantity calculators and written guides. The calculators run in your browser. There is no account, no subscription and no purchase.

Estimates only

Every figure produced here is an estimate derived from the numbers you enter. It is not a quotation, a specification, a structural design, a building-code determination or professional advice of any kind. Site conditions, product variation, workmanship and local requirements all affect real quantities. The calculation disclaimer explains this in more detail and forms part of these terms.

Your responsibilities

• Check that the measurements and units you enter are correct.
• Verify bag yields against the packaging of the product you are buying.
• Confirm quantities and prices with your supplier before ordering.
• Obtain professional or regulatory advice for anything structural, load-bearing or subject to building control.

No warranty

The site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While the calculations are tested and the methodology is published in full, we do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for any particular project. To the fullest extent permitted by law, all implied warranties are excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of this site or reliance on its output, including over-ordering, under-ordering, wasted materials, delivery charges, delays or remedial work. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Where that is the case, our liability is limited to the minimum permitted by the law that applies.

Acceptable use

Use the site for lawful purposes. Do not attempt to disrupt it, scrape it at a volume that degrades service for others, or present its output as your own professional certification of a design.

Intellectual property

The written guides, page content, diagrams and code on this site belong to their authors. You may use the calculator results freely for your own projects, print them and share them with suppliers. Republishing the written content wholesale is not permitted without permission.

Third-party links

Where the site links elsewhere, we are not responsible for the content, accuracy or practices of those sites. Advertising and affiliate links are currently inactive; if either is introduced, it will be labelled and the relevant policy pages updated first.

Availability and changes

The site may be changed, suspended or withdrawn at any time. Calculators, options and content may be added, altered or removed. We may update these terms; continued use after a change means you accept the updated version.
